The second generation of musicians, Steve Gorospe (Ernie's son, left) and Steve's longtime pal, Jason Avery (right).
Steve and Jason grew up listening to the music of The American Music Company Band, and going to see the band play live many times. What a treat it was to grow up listening to the band with Danny Gatton and Billy WIndsor, along with drummer Jerry Wallmark. It was only a matter of time before Steve and Jason were ready to play those oldies they grew up listening to! Steve Windsor is also the band's second generation. Steve grew up listening to his dad (Billy Windsor) play those oldies and rhythm & blues with The American Music Company Band and The Danny Gatton Band. A musician's complement of tools. The backward-facing
guitar on the left is Steve Gorospe's 1994 Fender Danny Gatton Signature
Model Telecaster, totally retrofitted with Jay Monterose's incredible
Vintique replacement
hardware (the stuff Danny really used in his '53 Tele). The two
forward-facing guitars are Steve Windsor's Teles, both retrofitted
with Vintique hardware. The red Tele even has Vintique hand-wound
single coil pickups.
Steve Gorospe was using the Roland JC-120 (while his Twin [see below] was being hot-rodded). Steve Windsor was using the Fender Twin reissue. Both amps
are owned by Steve Windsor.
